Epithalon
10mg
⚠️ Not for human consumption. Research purposes only.
Description
Epithalon (Epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) based on the naturally occurring pineal gland peptide epithalamin. It has been studied in preclinical models for its effects on telomerase activation, telomere length maintenance, and pineal gland melatonin synthesis regulation.
Key Areas of Study
- Telomerase activation research
- telomere biology studies
- pineal gland peptide analysis
- circadian rhythm signaling research
Mechanisms Being Evaluated
Epithalon has been observed to activate telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) in human somatic cells, promoting telomere elongation in preclinical studies. Research has also documented its effects on melatonin secretion patterns and antioxidant enzyme expression.
Commonly Researched Uses
Telomerase activation research, telomere length dynamics studies, pineal peptide signaling analysis, chronobiology investigations
